Putting together the rows of a king size quilt
DOWN A CAROLINA ROAD . . .

It's been a while since I have had the opportunity to tell you about all the new quilt projects in the works.  I have been so blessed that many friends have asked me to make quilts for them.  Memory quilts made from loved ones shirts and t shirts are keeping me very busy.  At first when I was asked to do this I thought I might not be able to do so and give the respect and tribute to the loved one in a "one of a kind" creation.  Well, I have to tell you  from the very first quilt I designed for a friend I was HOOKED!  This is truly rewarding.  The family members adore them and it is such a neat way to keep items that you remember seeing them wear and re-purpose into a wonderful keepsake.   Wished I had thought of this with family members dresses, shirts, handkerchiefs, jeans, etc.  for my own family.

The t shirt quilts for teenagers and children getting ready to go to college.  Just finished working on the quilt tops for two of these projects and guess again - I'm hooked!

Lastly,  custom quilts seem to be very popular right now. . . and why not?  It's your fabric choices, your design request and an original family heirloom for the future.  Baby quilts and specialty quilts like teams for college and color scheme choices are really wonderful items to give as gifts.

I will leave you with a few pictures of items in the works and finished projects.  If you have an idea please email me at lisacarol99@gmail.com.  Also stay on the lookout for classes coming up in the fall . . . anyone can quilt, even on a simple sewing machine!
